Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and dynamic leader to build a national safety program as the Manager of Safety . This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety protocols across all of our roofing operations, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction safety, especially within the roofing industry, and experience working with distributed teams and subcontractor networks.

Key Responsibilities

As the Manager of Safety , you will be responsible for developing and managing company-wide safety policies, procedures, and initiatives tailored to roofing sales and operations. Responsibilities include:

  • Safety Program Leadership: Develop and manage company-wide safety policies, procedures, and initiatives tailored to roofing sales and operations.
  • Training and Compliance: Collaborate with the Training and Development team to drive the execution of safety training to sales teams, field management, subcontractors, and field staff. Ensure all personnel are properly educated in OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Incident Management: Investigate incidents, near-misses, and safety violations. Maintain documentation, identify root causes, and drive corrective/preventative measures by partnering with field management.
  • OSHA & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations, and act as the primary liaison during OSHA inspections.
  • Safety Reporting & Metrics: Track safety KPIs, maintain accurate records, and present safety performance reports to senior leadership.
  • Culture Building: Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organization through regular communication, recognition programs, and employee engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of safety experience in construction, preferably in roofing or similar high-risk environments.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations as they pertain to construction, labor, and safety.
  • OSHA 30 Certification required; CHST, CSP, or similar certification preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
